Or giving vamps free rapid glide after X amounts of stats, so somewhere can pop a tank full on STR vamp, curretnly there is no varitey in any of the darkeden servers, you have 2 types of vamp players dex/str and int/dex, and thats it. To stop people actually putting points into dex as int vamps. you can do like buff changes every season to mix it up, idk if you can change the scaling of abilities like vampire SAF gets benefit and reduced cooldown from INT. They are resetting every 6 or so months, that could work really nice too and they transfer the "ladder character" to non ladder character" you can for example have 2 "world/servers" one is ladder and once the "season" is done you transfer them to the other server, keeps the "game" fresh and constantly changing and evolving. You can look at blizzard and his diablo 2. In couple of months you release lvl 250 and item level 250, and so on if leveling is easy or hard you can play around with numbers if it takes us like almostt 2 and half months to get to lvl 200 then you can drip feed the lvl 221 ? or so, so you got there room to balance and play around it On release you have max lvl 200 and items lvl 200. Ummmm, while playing many games in their peeks and progressions like wow and tera, I find drip feeding content the best way to play the server/game. I do not want to release a dissapointment. I will still keep working on it, but when I feel comfortable opening it up for public is unknown. A lot of issues popped up that will need a work around and also I don't want to force myself to work on it. Due to me underestimating how much time I have to sink into this project I can't make this playable anytime soon. update2- Progress will be slowed even more. So the progress is slow for the most part. update -Since we decided to pick the project back up here is a discord link for those who wan't to keep an active eye on the progress or just throw us ideas/suggestions.
So far it kind of feels like it's not worth the time. If there is enough intrest I will pick the project up and finish it. Lower level instances also come in 4 flavors, one for each race and one where all races can fight for mobs, higher level ones are full pvp. to remove the tedious "grind the best map/spot" mentality. All pets are cosmetic and don't have the insane options, only the ones you can apply yourself.Ĭustom dungeon scripts, timed boss instances etc. My plan was to only have cosmetics, prem card, hour glasses, and pets in market to pay for the server costs/buy new updates. As we all know darkeden in core is built with p2w model. It's custom made version, has a lot of new stuff from korean version. Having said that, a similar follower can also be effective, as you can allow them to use your equipment as you upgrade to better variants.
